Book Jen for a FUN SEL and STEAM-Themed Author Visit!
Each session will include:
An Introduction from Jen with a SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING emphasis on Persistence and Determination.
Next, a HIGHLY ENERGETIC and DRAMATIC reading of Jen’s book, The Ghost Who Saved Halloween, with INTERACTIVE moments including some CALL AND RESPONSE, a fun Lights-Out/Flashlight moment, and more!
After the reading, Jen will invite students to share how they saw Ghost use his persistence and determination and EXPLORE “How was Ghost feeling here?” “How was Spider helping?” “How did Ghost make things right?”
Then she’ll top it off by steering into the STEAM aspect of the book, working with the students to first ENGINEER and then BUILD their very own “Scare Machine” like Ghost built in the story. This will be a FUN and INTERACTIVE project using a wagon and other household items that Jen will curate ahead of the visit.
Finally, Jen will welcome a round of a Q&A (both sporadic or teacher-curated questions are welcomed).

Travel Radius for Visits: Within 50 miles of Edmond, OK
Visit Fee Range: $200/45-Minute Session OR $600/Day (Up to 4 Sessions)
Semi-Local Visits: Within 2 hours of Edmond, OK $650 for TWO 45-Minute Sessions or $1000/Day (Up to 4 Sessions)
Non-Local Visits: $1,400/Day (Up to 5 Sessions, Plus Travel and Lodging Expenses)
