And your plans will succeed! (Proverbs 16:3)
It was fitting that I chose to wear this t-shirt today, the day I officially signed a single-title contract of representation with Literary Agent Stephanie Fretwell-Hill of Red Fox Literary! Wooooooo!
In mid-May, when Stephanie offered me a single-title representation for my story, PEPITA: VAMPIRE PUPPY, I was (and continue to be) ECSTATIC. We both went through the motions, seeing what else we could squeak out from this opportunity, but in the end, we both felt at peace in this single-title representation.
While my goal has been to get a Literary Agent who represents my entire body of work, it’s with very little doubt that the Lord has carved me a slightly different path. I am abundantly grateful and full of faith that this is what’s meant for me on MY pilgrimage to publication. Thank you, Lord!
I’m incredibly thankful to God for bringing this blessing. I’m also grateful for some very special women who God most certainly placed in my life, helping me bring this blessing to fruition. Gaye Turner Sanders, Tammi Sauer, Bethany Hegedus, and Cathy Sheafor – all women of significance and impeccable talent – who helped me get to this very moment today. I’m not simply fortunate to have happened upon their acquaintance. No, it was divine. I’m so blessed to even know them.
Now, I’ll be pivoting my prayers over to “the right publishing house and the right editor” and just believing for the very best for Pepita, our sweet Vampire Puppy. All of that, while trying to better my other manuscripts in preparation for the coming opportunities through The Verge and beyond.
