Hot Ghoul Summer

There’s only ten days until The Ghost Who Saved Halloween‘s PUB DAY and we’re up to our Ghost Belly Buttons in book promotion!

See below for one of the silliest days of our lives and we have the mosquito bites to prove it!

We started the summer off with a really special Summerween “Pre-Order Party” and Storytime at Magic City Books in Tulsa, OK. It was a truly great turn-out and just the best possible experience, overall, for a debut author!

Below is the amazing video that my dear friend Steffan Light of Steffan Light Creative shot. I’m so grateful that he and his precious wife, Tara, were so kind to come out to Tulsa for this first BIG event.

Another special thing that’s happened as of late: I’ve taken on a Picture Book Mentee! We meet twice a month for one-hour (plus) video calls where we talk about her manuscripts and pitches that I’ve critiqued/made notes/suggested edits ahead of time plus we dive deep into things like querying, agents, and other industry insider stuff.

My mentee, Charlotte, who loves writing picture books, is ALSO a very talented entrepreneur. Look at these adorable Ghost earrings she made me!
